Crop protection fabrics
Custom agricultural textiles

Ground cover fabrics are engineered textile solutions designed to suppress weeds, improve soil conditions, conserve moisture, and enhance long-term crop and landscape performance. Kobawala Group supplies both woven and nonwoven ground cover fabrics, each engineered for specific agricultural, horticultural, and landscaping applications.
Woven ground cover fabric is a high-strength, long-life solution designed for applications requiring durability, load resistance, and extended outdoor exposure.

Manufactured from flat polypropylene tapes woven into a stable grid structure.
High tensile and tear strength
Excellent dimensional stability
Resistant to stretching and deformation
UV inhibitors are integrated into the fabric to protect against degradation from prolonged sun exposure.
Multi-season outdoor durability
Maintains strength and integrity under harsh climates
Allows controlled passage of air, water, and nutrients.
Prevents water pooling
Supports healthy soil respiration
Reduces erosion
Superior weed suppression
High load-bearing capacity (foot traffic, carts, equipment)
Resistant to tearing and puncture
Long service life (multiple growing seasons)
Clean, professional appearance
100 GSM – Light-duty horticulture and landscaping
130–140 GSM – Commercial nurseries and greenhouses
170–180 GSM – Heavy-duty agriculture and permanent installations
Available in multiple widths, roll lengths, and colors with optional marker lines.
Greenhouses and nurseries
Landscape beds and pathways
Commercial farming
Vineyards and orchards
Under gravel, mulch, or decorative stone
Easy to cut and install
Marker lines for plant spacing
Compatible with ground pins and staples
Can be covered or left exposed
Nonwoven ground cover fabric is designed for soil stabilization, filtration, and moisture control, offering excellent conformability and ease of installation.

Manufactured by bonding polypropylene or polyester fibers into a uniform fabric.
Excellent flexibility and conformability
Smooth surface profile
Consistent filtration performance
Allows water and nutrients to pass while restricting soil movement.

Installation method
Needle-punched ground cover fabric is a high-performance nonwoven textile engineered for superior filtration, durability, and soil stabilization. Often referred to as capped fabric, it combines the flexibility of nonwoven materials with enhanced surface strength and abrasion resistance.
This construction makes it ideal for applications requiring longer service life, improved weed suppression, and enhanced resistance to damage compared to standard nonwoven fabrics.

Manufactured by mechanically interlocking polypropylene or polyester fibers using needle punching.
High permeability and filtration
Excellent tensile and tear strength
Conforms to uneven surfaces
A heat-treated or bonded surface layer applied to one or both sides.
Increased abrasion and puncture resistance
Reduced fiber fuzzing
Improved weed suppression
Cleaner, smoother surface for installation
Maintains water flow while restricting soil movement.
Prevents soil migration
Enhances drainage
Reduces erosion
Superior filtration and drainage
Higher durability than standard nonwoven fabrics
Improved resistance to tearing and installation damage
Long-term ground stabilization
Moderate to high weed suppression
120–150 GSM – Landscaping and light erosion control
200–250 GSM – Commercial landscaping and drainage
300+ GSM – Heavy stabilization and high-traffic applications
Available in multiple roll widths and lengths with optional UV stabilization.
